Description
FVMQ is an elastomer obtained by introducing fluoroalkyl side chains into the VMQ siliconerubber backbone. It combines the wide temperature performance of silicone rubber with the fueland solvent resistance of fluorocarbon rubber. It offers excellent resistance to aviation fuel, gasoline, diesel, aromatic hydrocarbons, and oxygenated fuels (such as methanol and ethanol),while maintaining the low-temperature flexibility and electrical insulation of silicone rubber.FVMQ is an ideal material for fuel system seals in aerospace, high-performance automotive, andmilitary equipment.
Applications
Aircraft engine fuel system seals
Automotive fuel injector O-rings
Fuel pump diaphragms
Seals for oxygenated fuels (e.g., alcohol-blended gasoline)
Military vehicle fuel line seals
